First let's take a look at the event itself, which was precipitated by premeditation in the days and weeks prior (if not longer) - so we will consider the transiting planets leading up to the date.  It occurs on 2014 July 11, 04:20 pm local time 

The first image is the chart of the event - Malaysia Air flight MH17 - when it was hit and started falling to the Earth.  The planets outside the circle are the transits for today.  The reason being is to find out why it is of great interest right now, to me, and to the world, eight (8) years later? 

The second image is the chart of the event, with the outer ring of planets for six days before the event.  This is when Tasciotti was aboard a flight flying an eerily similar flight path.  Specifically, this shows where the Moon was transiting before the date of the tragic event.  It is exactly opposition to Mercury.

The third image is a chart of the Progressions for the current time and with outer circle of Transits for current time.
